About Me
Greetings! My name is Kirsten Bains Williams. I was born and raised in Costa Rica, but now I live in South Florida. I recently graduated from the University of Notre Dame with a degree in Neuroscience. I have a passion for teaching and served as a tutor for many years! I love working with students and helping them uncover their full potential. When I am not in the classroom, I enjoy reading mystery books, dancing to my favorite songs, and trying new foods. My goal for this term is to cultivate a fun and positive learning environment for everyone.
Education
I attended the University of Notre Dame. I graduated in May of 2023. I received a Bachelor of Science in Neuroscience and Behavior. I also pursued a minor in Compassionate Care in Medicine.
Teaching Experience
In high school, I volunteered as a tutor. I worked with students who needed assistance in Algebra and English. In college, I held two formal tutoring jobs. I worked as a Calculus I tutor for the summer. Then, I joined the Writing Center and tutored in English for about three years.
Interests
My hobbies include reading and dancing. I was a competitive dancer growing up. Now, I love to dance for fun when I have free time. I also enjoy reading, specifically mystery and murder books.
I love teaching and explaining science at every level!
